Why does the output voltage of the power module become low

The output voltage of the power module becomes low, not necessarily because the module is damaged, or the application is not reasonable. Let's find out the reason why the output voltage of the power module becomes low.

The circuit input voltage is too low, it will make the circuit abnormal. Working for a long time under the condition of low input voltage, the life of the circuit will also have a great influence. To avoid this problem when designing a circuit, you need to understand the reasons that cause the output voltage of the power module to become low.

There are many reasons for the low output voltage of the power module, and the common reasons are as follows.

1. The output line is too long or too thin

Power module features: input voltage range 9V~36V; output voltage 5V; output current 6A.

2. The voltage drop of the input anti-reverse diode is too large

Power module characteristics:

Input voltage 12V, fluctuation range of ±10%; output voltage 5V, output unregulated output current 600mA.

It is suitable for occasions where the input voltage waveform range is less than 10% and the voltage accuracy is not high.

3. Output overload

The above three power modules with different characteristics simply explain the reasons for the low output voltage of the three power modules, but in practical applications, there are many reasons for the low output voltage of the module. In this case, first check the voltage values at both ends of the input and output pins of the module. If the input and output voltages are normal, then check the load current.
