Where to consider the packaging method of DCDC power module

The dcdc power module has a variety of packaging forms, which not only meet the requirements of international standards, but also meet the domestic requirements, and need to be screened under general principles. Usually when choosing a power module package, you need to do the following three aspects of work.

First of all, under certain power conditions, it is necessary to ensure that the smaller the volume, the better. In the packaging process, the reduction of the volume means the expansion of the space, so as to provide more space for other parts of the system and ensure the integrity of the function.

Second, in packaging selection, we should try our best to choose products that meet international standards. Because international standards are aimed at global manufacturers and requirements, the requirements are very high and the compatibility performance is relatively good. In addition, there are many manufacturers in the world that adopt this standard, and they have a wider choice in terms of supply selection, which will not cause the limitation of choice.

Third, when choosing a package, you should pay attention to expandable products to facilitate future system expansion and upgrades. On the basis of meeting international requirements, half-brick and full-brick packaging are currently widely used in the industry. These two packaging methods are fully compatible with internationally renowned brands such as Vicor and Lambda. Generally speaking, the power coverage of half-brick products in the world is 50W/200W, while the power coverage of full-brick products is 100W/300W, which can meet the requirements of domestic and most international products.

In the dcdc power module package selection process, as long as the two premises of international standards and scalability requirements can be followed, it is generally easy to find a suitable package form for the product.
