Compared with the traditional secondary-side feedback optocoupler plus TL431 structure, the primary-side feedback (PSR) acdc control technology developed in the past 10 years has a major advantage in that it eliminates these two chips and a set of working with them. The components save the space on the system board, and reduce the circuit cost on the basis of ensuring reliability.

There is also a new solution for synchronous rectification that uses power MOSFETs with extremely low on-resistance to replace rectifier diodes to reduce rectification losses. The turn-on loss of MOS tubes will be greatly reduced. A heat sink is required.

At present, under the dominance of the market, switching power supplies are becoming smaller, lighter, efficient, low-cost, and highly reliable. In order to meet the requirements of the market and electronic equipment, small and light power solutions must be used.
