Installation and maintenance of military module power supply

As there are many types, series, and specifications of module power supplies, their functional characteristics and physical characteristics are not the same. Therefore, there are also differences in installation, use and maintenance. Need to pay attention to the following aspects.

(1) After the package is unsealed, check whether the identification of each terminal is consistent with the instructions that came with the machine. At the same time, whether it meets the requirements stipulated in the order contract. If there is any discrepancy, you should contact the purchaser immediately to discuss the solution.

(2) Before installation, the metal shell of the module power supply must be reliably grounded to ensure safety, but the shell must not be mistakenly connected to the neutral line.

(3) Before the installation is completed and the power is turned on, the wiring on each terminal should be checked again to ensure that the parameters such as input and output, AC and DC, single-phase and multi-phase, positive and negative, voltage and current values are correct, and put an end to it. Connection reverse, wrong connection phenomenon.

(4) For high-power power supplies, there are generally two or more "+" and "-" output terminals. In fact, this is for the convenience of the user's wiring, they are internally connected in parallel and belong to the same output electrode.

(5) The module power supply is not allowed to work at full load for a long time. The utilization rate of linear power supply should be controlled within 60%; the utilization rate of switching power supply. Should be controlled within 80%. Otherwise, it may cause an artificial early failure of the module power supply.

(6) For some module power supplies, when the factory leaves the factory, the adjustable terminal (ADJ) has a fixed resistance indirectly. When using, the user must equip the potentiometer with the corresponding resistance value to replace the fixed resistor. But it should be noted that when the adjustable terminals are in an open state, loading is never allowed.

(7) In order to fully dissipate heat, the module power supply should be installed in a position with good air convection. For modular power supplies that require a radiator, the back plate of the module must be evenly coated with thermal grease, and be closely attached to the radiator and fastened. Generally, the operating current of the linear power supply is above 4 A, or the operating current of the switching power supply is above 7 A. Forced air cooling should be installed. In addition, no other items are allowed on the housing of the module power supply.

(8) The module power supply is generally suitable for resistive-based loads, if it needs to be used for capacitive or inductive loads. Orders should be agreed in advance.

(9) The transmitter high-voltage power supply usually does not use a commercially available high-voltage module power supply, but a high-voltage circuit is specially designed. If you use a high-voltage module power supply, do not touch the high-voltage danger zone during use and within 10 minutes after power failure.

(10) The principle of module power supply selection: Generally, switching power supply should be selected for larger power, and linear power supply for lower power.

(11) The module power supply is generally rarely damaged. If the high-voltage power supply is abnormal, if it is not powered on, turn off the power supply, and check whether the output and input terminals of the module power supply installed in the high-voltage power supply are open or short-circuited. If these phenomena occur, the module power supply is indicated. If it is damaged, just replace the module power supply. The module power supply is usually packaged once by the manufacturer. Do not forcibly disassemble.
